At least then I will understand what it is about.
BTW: They don’t seem to trigger my virus scanner when I save those strings an an .exe file. They should, right?

The first string should trigger any spam detection tool if send by mail.
The second string should trigger your virusscanner. An on-access scanner if placed in a file or executed (.com file, on execution it wil display the string ‘EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE’). And should be detected by a mail-viruscanner when send in plaintext in the message or in a attachment.

I see. I guess I didn’t try the second string well enough. It now triggers McAfee’s System Scan when I save it in test.exe. So I guess I am safe
